Presentation of the Club Europe

Europeans who get involved!

To be closer to its citizens, the CIIE leverages its experience in presenting on European topics by creating the Club Europe. This volunteer club brings together committed Europeans willing to share their knowledge with the citizens of Alsace.

Given the task of spreading information about Europe, these volunteers work across all of Alsace and offer dynamic, interactive presentations on key issues affecting the EU and the institutions in Strasbourg.

Senior citizens, teachers, students, and professionals all contribute to the diverse network of people dedicated to informing the public of Europe– past, present, and future– at schools, universities, associations, and community groups. With over a hundred members, the members of the Club Europe have already carried out over 5000 presentations in Alsace since the creation of the CIIIE!

Public lectures

Club Europe members also gave 16 lectures to 454 people on themes such as the history of the European Union, the European institutions, and European expansion, among others.

Information stands

Members of Club Europe also support CIIE’s activities by participating in information stands. In 2025, Club Europe members manned stands at Place Kléber, the European Parliament, and the European Fair for approximately 15,000 visitors.

"Stammtisch"

Finally, Club Europe members regularly get to meet European figures at “Stammtisch” meetings. In 2012, Mrs. Houtman, Head of the European Commission Representation in France, and Mr. Gauzès, member of the European Parliament, met with Club Europe.
