The European Institutions Information Center is part of the European Union’s information network: the EUROPE DIRECT (ED) centers. This network currently includes 49 information centers in France (see the map) and more than 430 centers across the European Union. The missions of the EUROPE DIRECT information centers are to:
- Provide local citizens with information, advice, assistance, and answers to their questions regarding EU institutions, legislation, policies, programs, and funding opportunities.
- Actively encourage local and regional debate about the European Union and its policies.
- Enable European institutions to improve the dissemination of information tailored to local and regional needs.
- Offer the public the opportunity to provide feedback to European institutions in the form of questions, opinions, and suggestions.
